Limehouse ward - Updates |
||
|
Hello Good People of Limehouse,
We hope everyone had a good weekend. Please see below a brief overview of recent incidents and concerns reported across the ward.
Anti-Social Behaviour / Vehicle ASB
We have received reports of vehicles in the E14 area engaging in anti-social behaviour, including individuals using nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”), playing loud music, and causing noise nuisance to residents.
Further reports have also been received regarding vehicles playing loud music on Northey Street, E14. Officers continue to monitor these areas and take action where appropriate.
Residents have also reported motorbikes racing around the Narrow Street area, causing concern due to noise and dangerous riding. Patrols will continue in the area to address these issues.
We have also issued a number of ASB warning letters to registered keepers of vehicles involved in anti-social behaviour, and we believe this ongoing action and increased patrol activity is helping to reduce these issues across the ward.
Burglary A residential burglary was reported on Branch Road, E14.
Residents are reminded to ensure doors and windows are secured and to remain mindful of unknown individuals attempting to gain access to communal blocks or residential properties.
Theft A bike theft was reported on Island Row and Three Colt Street, E14.
We strongly encourage residents to use a good quality bike lock and register bikes on BikeRegister to assist with identification and recovery if stolen.
A vehicle theft was also reported on Saunders Close, E14. Vehicle thefts can happen quickly and offenders often target vehicles left insecure or those with keyless entry systems. Residents are advised to ensure vehicles are locked, keys are kept away from doors and windows, and additional security devices such as steering locks are considered where possible.
Police Activity Your Limehouse Safer Neighbourhood Team continue to carry out high-visibility patrols across the ward, focusing on anti-social behaviour, burglary prevention, and vehicle-related concerns raised by residents.
General Advice • Report anti-social behaviour and suspicious activity as soon as possible. • Avoid leaving valuables unattended in vehicles or communal areas. • Secure bikes with strong locks and, where possible, store them in secure locations. • Report concerns via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
Until Next Update A further update will follow later this week if required.
Be Good, Have Fun & Stay Safe
